CDC to start baseball conditioning in November

The Carmel Dads Club (CDC) will start its travel baseball winter conditioning program at IU Health Sports Performance sometime in November. The conditioning program is for the CDC Pups and Hounds travel baseball programs.

“For any sport, conditioning is great because you don’t want to lose your skill,” Jiahao Zhou, CDC soccer player and freshman, said.

The goal of the conditioning program is to improve the players’ skills with emphasis on running form, agility testing and balance explosion. There will also be winter conditioning at the Roundtripper Baseball Academy focusing on fundamental baseball skills with exercises like batting cages and pitching practice.

CDC president Jack Beery said, “We’re very excited that we have two partners like IU Health and the Roundtripper to help our young athletes develop in baseball.”
