According to Superintendent Nicholas Wahl, the Carmel Clay Schools district has applied for an additional snow day waiver for the day of Jan. 28.

“We already have Tuesday (Jan. 7) waived, and now we’re just waiting on the other days,” Wahl said. “We would have an additional two days of instructional time if the waivers are not passed.”

Senior Ian Seal said having an extra two days of instructional time after graduation would not affect him to a great extent. Seal also said, while some seniors may skip those days, he would still attend.

Seal said, “By that point we won’t really have that much to do in classes, and the seniors will basically have checked out by then. I’d definitely show up to school, but I don’t think I would participate much in any instructional class time.”
