The women’s swimming and diving team prepare to compete at home in the first round of the Sectional tournament on Feb. 9. The team won State the last 27 years and is in search of their 28th State title, setting a new record of most State titles in the nation. Although the team has been successful in previous years, according to Head Coach Chris Plumb the team still has specific skills to perfect before the first round. “ We are fine tuning our details; starts, turns, and race strategies. As we get closer, we will reduce our training load,” Plumb said.

During the Sectional tournament the team will compete against Noblesville, Westfield, and other schools around the Kokomo area. Hanna House, team captain and senior, says the team is more than excited to begin the Sectional tournament and all that goes with it. “ We have Pre-Sectional dinner that is full of tradition.” She said. “Usually leading up to the championship meets we will watch motivational videos and make sure our mental game is in tune.”
