Planetarium Club prepares for second show on Dec. 12

The Planetarium Club completed its first public show and plans to have a better second show on Dec. 12.

The first public show in the planetarium that Planetarium Club members helped put on was successful. A kids-themed spacecraft show, the planetarium had near-capacity crowds for both shows. Both the children and the club members had a great time. “It was fun to see little kids excited about astronomy,” said Diana Gorin, senior and club member.

Despite the success, there still were a few blips, which the club will look to correct for its next show. “We have to improve our timing on the shutters,” said Kieth Turner, planetarium director and club sponsor, “It’s just going to take more practice.”

On Dec. 12, the club will put on its next show, which will be holiday-themed.
