This past week Creative Writing Club welcomed award winning author, Allison Lynn and plans to invite more guest speakers in the coming weeks.

Lynn is a professor at Butler University where Jerry Brickley, Creative Writing Club sponsor and English teacher, takes classes. Lynn is the author of award winning novels, The Exiles and Now You See It.

“I think (members) got more of a female perspective of writing and publishing, just a lot of great advice about the writing process,” Brickley said. Brickley hopes to bring in more authors and professors from Butler University in the upcoming weeks.

The club recently held a workshop on screenplay writing and will be performing their skits during the next few meetings.

“Anyone who wants to share their work for critiques or not for critiques can come in at any time,” Ariana “Ari” Roberts, president and senior, said.
