ComedySportz will finish its 2015 season with home matches on April 23 and 24 against Fishers and Cathedral, according to sponsor Jim Peterson. Both matches will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Studio Theater, with tickets available at the bookstore or online at https://ticketracker.com/.

According to Duncan Moran, ComedySportz member and senior, the team will use the last match to honor its five seniors.

“The Friday is the ‘Senior Night.’ All of the seniors are going to play Friday,” Moran said. “(It’s) going to be big. We’re working up a lot of our classic games; we’re also trying to work in some of those that home crowds have never seen but away crowds have seen us do.”

According to Peterson, this year’s team has specialized in taking on new challenges.

“Some teams kind of get into a comfort zone,” he said. “Every time we have a home match, they work really hard at mixing it up.”

According to Moran, the season will finish with another series of away matches and a possible game downtown against ComedySportz professionals. However, he said he is aware his time is ticking away.

“Being a three-year member, I’ve been through a lot of it,” he said. “I’ve seen how we had a six-person team and how it transferred on to be an 11-person team, and it’ll be satisfying to have it over. It’ll be sad; I mean, I love doing it, I hope to do it again in the future, but it will overall be nice to have it complete.”
