CHS Administration has recently finalized a new collegiate-styled class schedule that would be implemented in the 2016-2017 school year. Seniors will have the choice to participate as long as they meet specific requirements.

Principal John Williams said, “It’s (a program) where students could elect to take a minimum of four of these qualifying courses, or rigorous courses. If they do that, they don’t have to take any more courses.”

Junior Cindy Lee, however, said. “(I won’t be enrolling in the program) because I have classes that I want to take next year.

Lee said she would rather have the ability to choose all seven of her classes next year.

The new program has already been added to the 2016-2017 Program of Studies. The packet includes the details of the program such as credit, course and attendance requirements.
