According to Keith Turner, club sponsor and science teacher, Planetarium Club will host a public show on Feb. 25. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the planetarium. Club members will also meet on Feb. 29 to discuss events outside of the planetarium for members. One option is to go to Noblesville on a clear night with telescopes. Although club members put the public shows on, Turner said he puts the shows on for elementary school students.

Turner said, “If (club members) are available, they like to help. I’m trying to train a few of them to run the star machine.”

Emma Cohen, club member and junior, said working on the star machine outside of astronomy class gives her real world experience. She said, “It’s a really cool experience to use it.”
