On March 3 the men’s basketball team defeated Noblesville for the Sectional title. The Hounds took an early lead in the first quarter and stayed up throughout. However, with players from both teams in early foul trouble the Millers took the lead in the second quarter and were up by four at one point. The Hounds came back, though, and went into halftime with a 23 -21 lead.

After half the Hounds went up and never looked back. The team held Noblesville to only eight points in the third quarter and increased its lead to 11 points. The Hounds carried that momentum into the fourth and won the game 61-45. Morgan Newton had a game high 23 points for the Hounds.

On March 8, the team will continue its road to State when it faces Franklin Central at Southport High School at noon. The winner of that game will then face the winner of North Central v. Brownsburg at 8 p.m. for the Regional finals.
