Astronomy Club hosts a successful showing on March 12

by Beats

On March 12, the Astronomy Club here demonstrated a celestial plethora of stars and constellations.

Of those in attendance, one was freshman Matthew Peek.

“Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed it,” Peek said. “it was better than doing nothing.”

As far as the club’s next meeting is concerned, club sponsor Keith Turner said, “This meeting will be just like last meeting; it’s to see who’s still in the club or not.”

Many students are still interested in joining Astronomy Club, such as senior Nathan Garcia. He said, “I feel like it would be a good way to know if 2012 is actually going to happen or not.”

Astronomy Club is prospected to have at least two more showings before the year ends, and then have a showing for middle school students at the beginning of the next school year. By Ben Lu <blu@hilite.org>
