Spanish Club yet to organize, club goals set for the year

by Sheen Zheng

The Spanish Club will not formally commence until the call-out meeting on Sept. 30, according to sponsor Kay Vazquez. While the changes for this year are still unsure, Vazquez says that the club will continue to provide opportunities for students to learn about, as well as enjoy, Hispanic culture. In order to participate in the club and attend the monthly meetings, students must pay the $5 dues.

“All grades are open to join, and I am eager to see the turnout during the first meeting,” Vazquez said.

Samantha Matly, Spanish Club vice president and senior, said there will be monthly activities planned for club members.

Matly said, “Our biggest event this year will most likely be flamenco dancing at the Palladium.”
