According to Kinsey Wheeler, Kids’ Corner member and senior, seniors enrolled in the Kids’ Corner class are forming lesson plans for the preschoolers’ first day, Sept. 21.

Kids’ Corner teacher Kimberly Lenzo said that she and the seniors expect another successful year. The preschoolers’ first week will have a “Welcome to School” theme.

“I’m excited for this year because the seniors are really enthusiastic,” Lenzo said. “We have about 20 seniors this semester and 24 next semester which is more than past years.”

Lenzo said that she and and the seniors are looking forward to Music Together, a music and movement program, that will come once a week to Kids’ Corner for about 45 minutes. The program is designed to teach kids the importance of music.

Kids’ Corner is a class where seniors have a hands on opportunity to teach a preschool class. There are still a few openings in the program for preschoolers. Parents who are interested in enrolling their child may do so before classes begin on Sept. 21.
