Rising Stars Club will have their annual ITS Regional Thespians conference this Saturday, Oct. 29 at Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN.
The conference is an educational event for high school theater students. Several workshops, varying from make-up to improvisation to miming, will provide a good learning experience for aspiring actors and actresses.
“[This is a chance to] focus on acting or…broaden your spectrum.” Monica Ramirez, club president senior, said.
The Rising Stars Club will also be competing in a production against five other schools.
“A few of the students are competing in our production, ‘The Lesson,’” Jim Peterson, sponsor of Rising Stars, said. “We’re hoping to be invited to state.”
