Debate team prepares for Nov. 5 competition, begins mock debates

Debate team members will travel to their third competition of their competition season on Nov. 5. at Brebeuf. The team will prepare for the competition during after school practices, which have yet to be announced.

According to debate team adviser, James Ziegler, debate team members will begin a new method of preparation in meetings to come.

“This year we are incorporating mock debates which allow for better and more realistic practice,” Ziegler said.

“Our debates are very exciting,” Ray Qian, debate team member and senior, said. “Everyone who participated did very well. I cannot wait for our next chance to prove ourselves.”
