Snowball Birthday Cookies

by Monica Cheng

Jan. 5 came and passed (quite a while ago), taunting us with hints of snow–but which only melted in less than 24 hours. So to make up for the dysfunctional, snow-less Indiana weather, I decided to make snowball cookies to belatedly celebrate the birthday of my Just Desserts co-blogger, Caroline.

I was feeling kind of lazy at the time (a lovely side effect of senioritis) and made this from a box recipe, so that’s why this post isn’t accompanied by the usual entourage of ingredients / directions.

Happy belated birthday, Caroline.

A glimpse of what these snowball cookies look like. I made one snowball-shaped and dipped it in powdered sugar. For the other, I formed a crescent shape and iced it with what is literally powdered sugar mixed with a tiny amount of water.

Bon apetit,
