German Club postpones Amazing Race to April

German Club will not be having its March event this year. There is no set date for when the next event will happen, but it will be in April and announced as the executive board decides on a date.

Because German Club has never done an Amazing Race before, additional time for planning was need, causing the club to have to postpone the race.

“We were going to do an amazing race, but we ended up not having enough time, so we’re just moving it to April,” Michaela Bunting, club president and senior, said.

Three other executive board members are assisting Bunting in planning and building up the event during SRT. The April event consists of clues for members to find and a minute to win it game for each destination. There will be prizes and food at the end of the event.

Laura King, sponsor and German teacher, said she is looking forward to what German Club is planning.

“My students are putting on a completely new event that we’ve never done before.  I think the extra time is going to make this event more successful as well as enjoyable for those German Club members that participate.”
