Frosh Rock to take place April 12

by Taylor Acton

Frosh Rock is this Thursday, April 12 from 7:30 to 8:15. According to Assistant Principal Amy Skeens-Benton, there will be about 500 to 700 students.

“Frosh Rock is an introduction to activites and sports offered at Carmel,” Skeens-Benton said. “It’s a time for parents and their kids to hear about college and how to prepare for it. They learn about acceptence into college and readiness.”

Senior and NHS president, Nick Muller, is helping to organize this event along with Skeens-Benton.

“This event is an oppurtunity to show incoming freshman what CHS is really about,” said Muller. “All clubs are required to send two representatives. With over 150 offered at our school, it’ll be interesting to see this event take place.”

“The freshman are super excited to meet all of our students,” Skeens-Benton said. “Our students are so positive and the kids get a chance to see that and be around it. The earlier they hear all the information they need to know, the better.”
