Brett Finbloom, a graduate of the Class of 2012, passed away on Aug. 5 in the hospital.
“This is a shocking loss for the Greyhound family, and we must support one another in this time of grief,” principal John Williams said in an email. “Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.”
The school opened its doors the day of Finbloom’s death to make counselors and administrators available to anyone who requested help in dealing with the loss.
Williams said the school will continue to monitor the situation as school begins and make adjustments as necessary. Counselors will continue to be available for any staff members or students who want to talk or be seen.
