Nintendo Power to Cease Publication by End of Year

Gaming has lost an icon. Nintendo Power announced that they will cease publication after the December 2012 issue. Nintendo Power was one of the first gaming magazines, and has become a staple of gaming culture. I for one, remember the days where I longed for the next issue. The reviews were great, the articles were great. Quite frankly, everything about Nintendo Power was awesome. Any gamer born before 2000 probably grew up subscribing to Nintendo Power. Gaming has lost one if its greatest assets. Goodbye Nintendo Power, the gaming world will miss you.

Nintendo Power’s 24 year run helped propel the gaming industry into a legitimate form of journalism.
