It's interesting that you talk about how Tiana's original job as a maid is accurate for it's time era. I don't really remember Beauty and the Beast's Belle being very accurate, seeing as she wasn't shacked up with a husband taking care of multiple kids, even though that would have been "accurate" at her time period. What about Jasmine being single and apparently quite the dresser, when being "accurate'" to her era, she would be much more clothed and betrothed. There's so much fantasy and inaccuracies in Disney movies that changing her position from an insensitive maid to a waitress isn't much to ask. Imagine the uproar if Cinderella's evil step mother was black and Cinderella was to be slaving away for her.

Secondly, when has there ever, ever, ever, ever been a interracial marriage in an animated Disney movie? Really? Why does it start now, with the black princess. As the product of multiple interracial marriages, the fact that you say "today, hardly anyone notices whom he or she is dating racially" is horribly naive and borderline insulting. It is not nearly as you say as being a certain color or speaking a certain way automatically turns off many many people. So, even if more people are doing it than before, it is still far from "hardly" anyone not doing it.
