The PTO is planning the Homecoming Dance once again this year for Oct. 3 in the fieldhouse from 8 to 11 p.m.
The theme this year will be “Neon Nights.”
PTO president Cathy Huber said, “The PTO is in charge of the Homecoming dance, the volunteers, selling tickets and booking the DJ.”
Huber also said, “The money for the dance comes from the ticket sales. We try to hold the expense down to meet our budget and any money left over we use to benefit the school.”
The ticket sales for the Homecoming dance is one of the ways the PTO raises money, but it also has a membership drive. After the money is raised from these events, the money is presented to Principal John Williams, who then distributes it to where it is needed.
Huber said she encourages parents to come to the PTO meetings where they can talk to the board and voice any complaints or suggestions they might have. By Nick Andrews <email@example.com>
