With the conclusion of tryouts for the men’s basketball cheerleading squad, the team looks forward to the start of the regular basketball season with an away game against Brownsburg on November 25.
Winter cheerleading will not compete in tournaments and concentrate only on the games instead.
“This program is all-game cheerleading based,” Head Coach Caitlin Potvin said in an e-mail.
According to Potvin, the varsity squad will perform at both home and away games to help get the crowd involved. The team will focus on two goals: raising school spirit for the basketball program and improving its skills and teamwork.
Potvin said, “There are 12 girls on the varsity boys basketball cheerleading squad, and they all are working to be the best they can absolutely be.” By Maggie Brandenburg <email@example.com>
