IU Foreign Language Festival cancelled

This year, the Spanish club will not be going to the IU Foreign Language Festival. The festival will not happen this year due to budget cuts, according to Michael Young, club president and senior.

“We are very disappointed because that was the most exciting event we had last year,” Young said.

According to sponsor Kay Vazquez, there are no definite plans to replace the trip yet, but the club is considering a trip to watch the play “Yerma” in Chicago.

“It’s disappointing because it was our first year last year, and every student that went enjoyed it and learned a lot from it,” Vazquez said. By Andy Yang <[email protected]>
