Van Beynen said, in the past, players have ignored rule changes like the double-touch rule, and that she thinks that will happen to this new rule as well. “There was another rule where they tried to make doubling with setting legal, but it sort of turned into, ‘Who cares this isnt how volleyball is supposed to be played,’ and it was boycotted, which I believe is going to happen with this rule too. As part of a final push for fundraising, senior and Cabinet member Lily Getchell folds a Carmel Dance Marathon flier on Feb. 16, which she will mail in an envelope. Earlier that day, Getchell and other Cabinet members went to classrooms with their signature red buckets to collect spare change for the Riley Hospital for Children.

Jessica “Jess” Cooper, WHJE events manager and senior, said, Our fundraising goal right now is $3,000; I’m hoping to top that. We’re close to beating our total from last year.
