The JV men’s soccer team wraps up its season Oct. 3 against Zionsville. The cost for admission is $3.
Zach DiCarlo, sophomore forward, said he is happy with the success the team has had this season. “ Our team record is 9-0-1. We have played really well because we have a lot of talent, which gets us through tough games,” DiCarlo said.
JV coach Bobby Loy said that he also thinks the season has been a success, stating, “As our team chemistry has increased throughout the season, I feel that we have started moving the ball much better as a team and working more cohesively as a unit up and down the field.”
DiCarlo said the team has no special game plan for the final game of the year. “We plan on preparing for them just as we prepare for every other team,” DiCarlo said.
According to Loy, the JV team has no end-of-season tournaments to look forward to. “After our last game, some players are asked to dress with the varsity team for the State tournament, but other than that, JV season officially ends tonight,” Loy said.
After tonight the JV team doesn’t pick up workouts during the whole year, like some other teams do. “Once our season ends against Zionsville, we don’t pick up until next summer.”
DiCarlo said it was a fun and successful season, stating, “Our season has been a success, considering we haven’t lost a game. Winning is always fun!”
