The junior varsity football team will travel to North Central High School on Oct. 4 to face the Panthers in a Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference match-up.
Junior and wide receiver Terry Chon said he likes what the team has done so far this year, and that should continue this weekend.
“We’ve worked well as a team so far this year. We are better now than we were last year,” he said.
Chon said he thinks the team is prepared heading into the game, with not a whole lot to improve. “We’re good as it is,” Chon said.
North Central comes into the game with a 1-4 record, with the most recent game being a loss at the hands of rival Warren Central, 42-6.
“I think we have to play well on both sides of the ball, and especially special teams (to beat North Central),” Chon said.
