CHS German teacher wins “Best of Indiana” award

In November, CHS German teacher Angelika Becker won the “Best in Indiana” award for her presentation at the Indiana Foreign Language Teachers Association’s annual conference. At the conference, 80 presentations were giving regarding the best way to teach foreign languages.

“We gave a presentation about how to use art to promote creativity and conversation,” Becker said. “The participants vote on who had the best presentation, and they voted us as the best.”

As a result, in two years Becker and Moller-Tank will represent Indiana at the Central States Conference on teaching foreign languages. “We’ll be giving the presentation again, but for the Central States Conference instead,” she said. By Shayan Ahmad <[email protected]>
