After giving up school soccer, student cheers from the side

By: Jon Haslam <[email protected]>

Former freshman midfielder and current junior James Lash, now finds himself on the spectator’s side of CHS soccer.

Lash has played for a variety of teams in the past and is currently with Indianapolis Premiere Soccer Club (IPSC).

“I have been playing since I was four,” Lash said. “Soccer has just always been fun to me.”
“The reason I let school soccer go was because it was too serious for me,” Lash said, “I need a more laid-back style of play.”

Although Lash doesn’t play for the team, he is still a strong supporter of them. Lash still remains good friends to his former teammates.

“I always get asked whether or not I’m going to try out for the team next year,” said Lash. “While I will still cheer for the team, the chances of me trying out next year are doubtful.”
