Carmel Dads’ Club golf outing to be on Sept. 27

The annual Carmel Dads’ Club (CDC) golf outing is set to take place on Sept. 27 at Woodland Country Club. There will be a hole-in-one competition, a raffle and a live/silent auction at the outing. Tickets are $30 for a “Super Ticket,” $225 for an individual golfer and $900 for a group of four.

The outing is the main fundraiser for the CDC as well as for its charity scholarship program, Kids All Play. Kids All Play is a CDC initiative that aims to grant CDC scholarships to children who are on free or reduced lunch in Carmel Clay schools so they can play in CDC sports programs for free.

“I think it’s a great way to get money for a fundraiser,” Zachary Duncan, CDC soccer player and freshman, said

In previous years, the golf outing has usually sold out the 144 spots on the golf field, raising around $40,000 to $50,000 dollars in funds. This is enough to give a CDC scholarship to over 400 children in need. CDC President Jack Beery said, “It allows us to keep our fees low so people can play.”
