Junior Class plan for prom, profits go to Chaucie’s Place.

By: Michael Wang [email protected]>

The Junior Class officers, according to Junior Class sponsor Kristi LeVeque, will form a prom committee in order to begin planning for prom, which will be during the spring.

The officers are also selling Junior Class T-shirts. The front of the T-shirt says “I’m with 09” and the back of the T-shirt says “Party On.” The Junior Class officers went around to SRTs, and students preordered their T-shirts. LeVeque said, “They cost $10 each, and we have sold about 90.”

According to LeVeque and Heather Fitzpatrick, Junior Class vice president, any money they collect and receive through sales of the playhouse, 5K Walk/Run registrations and class T-shirts will go toward Chaucie’s Place, which is a place for abused and neglected children. LeVeque said, “Final totals are not in yet, but we are hoping between ($1000 and $2000 to donate toward Chaucie’s Place).”

For housebuilding this year, junior Molly Longest designed the house and the theme was the fairytale the Three Little Pigs.

Fitzpatrick said, “The main focus for this year is making sure that our junior year is a great experience for everybody and making sure that the kids in our class feel open to all of (the class officers) and give their ideas, because the more ideas we get from them the happier everyone is going to be.”
