The Carmel Education Foundation (CEF) will film the performing arts showcase of its annual telethon on Feb. 16 in the Dale E. Graham Auditorium from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. The show will feature music ensembles and choir from elementary and middle schools in the district. CHTV students will tape the broadcast and air it in mid-March.
“We are also offering parents, or any adult over age 18, who attend the showcase a chance to win a $100 Target gift certificate at the event,” CEF director Dorothy Ilgen said. Parents can enter to win at the CEF table outside the auditorium on Feb.16.
“I definitely plan on attending the showcase. It seems like a lot of fun and also beneficial” freshman Sara Mauck said.
The phone-a-thon portion of the telethon will occur March 20 to 22. During this time, students and adult volunteers call members of the Carmel community to ask citizens to donate money to CEF. All money raised fund the foundation’s education grants to CCS teachers.
