The deadline for students to apply for Carmel Education Foundation (CEF) scholarships is March 15 by midnight.
The CEF offers over 65 scholarships for students planning on attending a college, university or trade school in the fall of 2012. According to CEF director Dorothy Ilgen, 82 seniors have incomplete scholarship applications pending.
“I strongly urge these students to complete their applications so they can be considered for one of the 65 different scholarships offered by the CEF,” Ilgen said. The scholarships will be announced in mid-May at the CHS Scholarship Night. For more information on the scholarships visit the CEF website.
“When I’m a senior, I plan on taking advantage of the scholarships that the CEF offers because it’s a great way to lower the cost of college, which is already really expensive,” freshman Kristin Fortier said.
