Freshman Class adjusts to CHS

The Freshman Class of 2016 is adjusting to CHS,  with class co-sponsors John Love and Kristi Leveque guiding the way.

“We’re starting to get them acclimated and trying to get them involved,” Love said.

Freshman Class president Sam Pittman, vice president Neil Shah, treasurer Shakeel Zia and secretary Akshar Patel are all helping their fellow freshmen with the transition.

“I think everyone adjusted pretty quickly; everyone knows what they’re doing now,” Pittman said.

“(The officers are) great and excited to be here. They’re very organized, and they’re all boys, which is always fun,” Love said.

Looking ahead, Love’s goals for the Freshman Class include many things, but he said the biggest goal, “is to get the students involved in all the opportunities and traditions at CHS and help the students understand the importance of these traditions.”

Pittman’s goals also include getting the freshman class involved in school. His ultimate goal, he said is, “to make the freshman year as good as it can be for everyone.”
