Sophomore Joie Li is in her second year of Pinnacle and says that their social networking is on a new path this year to celebrate Pinnacle’s 125th anniversary. Their chief priority is the Pinnacle website and the approaching club photos. According to Nicole Wilson, the Pinnacle adviser, the staff’s most stressful time of the year is the week of club photos.
“The big push this year (regarding our website) has been to populate more content on a more frequent basis,” Wilson said. She added that the club photos are another focal point for the Pinnacle, since there are thousands of students and dozens of clubs to cover.
Li said via email, “Since this is the 125th anniversary of CHS, we’re collaborating 125 facts about CHS on our website and sending them out via Twitter. We’ve gotten lots of retweets, and it’s actually really interesting.”
The yearbook staff has been especially motivated and dedicated this year. Wilson said, “They’re always trying to improve their diversity of coverage: More people in the book, more times in the book.” Li added that as a team, they are striving to improve their communication skills.
“Every year it’s the same thing I look forward to: distribution,” Wilson said. “There’s nothing that’s as fun as seeing everyone’s faces when they get to see their yearbook for the first time.”
