Math Club is preparing for success. According to David Liang, one of the three officers of Math Club, the club is off to a good start.
“We’ve got a decent amount of members, and they’re all very motivated,” Liang said.
The club started almost right after the school year started. There are about 20 to 30 members, and according to Dan Perdun, they all seem ready for the work in front of them.
“They all seem like great kids, and as a math teacher, I can tell that they are all very good at mathematics,” Perdun said.
Math Club started when former students came up to Perdun with the idea of starting a club that had to do with math. Although the name could be misleading, Math Club is a great way to learn and have fun at the same time. According to Perdun, members do math, hang out with friends and eat snacks.
According to Liang, there will not be any major events for the time being, but he says that he is sure that there will be a few competitions as the club goes on. As for new members, both Liang and Perdun strongly encourage any new members to come up to them or any other officer for information about the club.
“We would appreciate any new members that are interested,” Perdun said. “After all, the numbers will just keep adding up.”
