The counseling department will conduct a scheduling meeting for juniors during SRT on Jan. 15. According to counselor Stephanie Aikins, the meeting will cover scheduling choices for current juniors for the next school year in addition to ideas for preparation for possible career or college choices.

Aikins said the counseling department will implement a new online course request system this year instead of the previous paper-based course request system. This system has been used with current sophomores in the past, but this will be the first year that current juniors will use the system.

“(The online course request system) was more efficient (than the paper course request system),” Aikins said.

Aikins said that many of the courses counselors recommend students to take during their senior year include courses that prepare students for a career or college.
