Global Giving to host Ping Pong Tournament

Because Global Giving is no longer planning a talent showcase, the members are hoping to coordinate a Ping-Pong Tournament with Ping-Pong Club, according to co-president and junior Jessica Chiang. The tournament might be held mid-April, but the event is still being planned.

She is also hoping to do a tennis fundraiser that would benefit Operation Smiles, an organization that raises money to give surgeries to kids with cleft palate.

Chiang said, “My friend has done a tennis fundraiser before, so I’m going to ask her how she did it, but I think people would just pay to play and all that money would just go to a charity.”

Other than those two events, sponsor Ryan Ringenberg said the club would like to do more in-school events such as a bake sale so that it won’t interfere with students’ after school schedule.
