Best Buddies to host Sock Hop Dance on May 10

Key Club members volunteer to fulfill their hour requirements to stay eligible to rejoin next year.

Best Buddies plans to host its Sock Hop Dance on May 10, according to Sam Sharkey, Best Buddies president and officer.

Sharkey said, “The Sock Hop is going to be in the main cafeteria from 3-5 p.m.”

The club also plans to have a spirit day on from 6-10 p.m. on May 14, according to club sponsor Dana Lawrence.

“It’s at Chick-fil-A on 14647 Thatcher Lane in Carmel,” Lawrence said. “You can bring one of the flyers we have or tell the cashier that you’re there for Best Buddies, and some of the money they earn goes to fund the club.”

“We’re also having one of our last meetings this year on May 12. It’s during both sessions of SRT in the main cafeteria,” Sharkey said.
