After winning both the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference (MIC) meet and the Noblesville Sectional, Carmel looks for a win at the Brebeuf Regional to move on to the Carmel Semistate and eventually to State. “We are now entering the most rigorous part of the season,” Head Coach Mark Ellington said. “The team needs to remain focused on what’s on hand here.”
Brebeuf Regional will take place on Oct. 19 at 10:30. “We ran really well [at Regional] last year,” varsity runner and senior Gina Genco said, “so I am really excited about competing in it again.”
At the MIC, Carmel runners occupied the first six spots and had their seventh runner in eight place to earn a perfect score of 15. At the Noblesville Sectional, Carmel achieved a score of 24 with Kelsey and Haley Harris placed second and third overall respectively leading the way for the team.
