Greyhound Connections will host a breakfast for new students in grades 10-12 on Oct. 29 from 7:40 to 8:20 a.m. in Room E214.
Quincy Smith, one of four club presidents and junior, said breakfasts may continue to occur on the occasional Late Start. At these breakfasts Greyhound Connection members will help new CHS students work through any problems they may be having.
When asked about some of the obstacles new students regularly face, club sponsor Joe Stuelpe said, “the size of the school and navigating their way to their lockers and classes takes some adjustment.” In addition, he said the, “academic rigor and expectations here” could also cause trouble for some new students. Stuelpe stressed that while Greyhound Connections primarily helps new students adjust to CHS, the club also emphasizes helping others out whenever there is an opportunity.
