Hip Hop Club has started for the 2015-16 school year. However, the club currently lacks a sponsor. The club’s callout meeting will take place next Tuesday, September 1 in the commons area from 3:15 until 4 p.m.

Kelley Yu, Hip Hop Club president and junior, encourages students interested to attend the meeting.

“It is a place where you can express yourself, socialize and learn freely,” Yu said. “There are a lot of fun events…and you can put your favorite music on full volume in a hallway and dance to it.” However, the club currently does not have a clear sponsor.

Nicole Laughrey, former Hip Hop Club sponsor, also encourages students to join the club.

“It’s an amazing group of students that have found a creative way to express themselves and to relax a little during school,” Laughrey said. “I am just so busy with other commitments that it wouldn’t have been a good fit for me or the club this year.”
