Teens for Life member Sophia Tragresser (middle) helps pass out flyers for the call-out meeting on Sept. 3 at 3:15 for Teens for Life at the Activities Fair. She knows that the best way to show what this club is all about is to be open with others and to express her true passion for this club.

The Teens for Life club plans to host a call-out meeting Thursday, Sept. 3 in room C125 at 3:15 p.m.According to co-sponsor Jon Kane, the purpose for this call-out meeting is to discuss and select events for this upcoming school year such as the Right to Life Dinner on Sept. 29 and the Day of Silence on Oct. 20.

“We just have so many exciting things for this year, and we would love to have as many people come and see what this family is all about,” said active member Sophia Tragesser.

According to both Kane and Tragesser, anyone is welcome, and pizza, drinks, and other snacks will be provided.

A key aspect to this club is the belief in the importance of life, whether it is of infants or the elderly, according to both Kane and supporter Dina Ferchmin. “We say that no matter how society views a certain issue about others’ lives, those lives are still important regardless,” Ferchmin said. “In this world, there are as many as 1.3 million abortions a year, and we find this to be a major problem: every life should be valued.”

“This is the chance to stand up for what students believe in, and I am truly happy to present this chance to the whole student body,” Kane said.
