Comedy Sportz had a match during SRT on Feb 4 to raise money for Dance Marathon.

Carmel’s Return of the Bling won by a narrow 3 points against their fellow team members called “Fellowship of the Bling” at the Comedysportz Scrimmage hosted in support of Riley Children’s Hospital.

Over the course of the game, no “Groaner Fouls” occurred, which is where a joke made has a not so funny double meaning. However, there was one Brownbag Foul, which is where someone makes an inappropriate joke. The Brownbag foul occurred while the referee, who calls herself “Ref Frankie”, was asking for a suggestion from the audience as to “A Place That Could Fit on the Comedysportz (Studio Theater) stage”. Before anyone else could answer, sophomore Matthew Wolfe called out “Auschwitz”. Yes, you read it right: Auschwitz. A Brownbag foul was called on him, and allegedly he was escorted to the office during G4 period Thursday.

Asked about her brother’s untimely foul, senior Samantha Wolfe said, “That’s my brother being immature, all right.”

Carmel’s next match is a full length match at home on Thursday, February 18.
