Planetarium Club to host public show March 24

Planetarium Club will host a public event on March 24 at 7:30 p.m. Keith Turner, club sponsor and science teacher, said students in the club will host it. His goal is to have them completely take over with operating the star machine at events, but for now he stays at shows to supervise.
“We have some really talented students, but of course they’re the ones who are the busiest,” Turner said.
Emma Cohen, club member and junior, said the events help her apply what she learns in astronomy outside of the classroom.
“It’s a really cool way to see how all the equations and stuff that we do can apply to something like that,” Cohen said.
