Men’s swim team finishes fourth at State

REACHING FOR THE FINISH: Adam Twer, varsity swimmer and senior, competes in the 200 freestyle relay last Saturday at State. The relay placed seventh in the event. However, the men’s swimming team as a whole finished fourth for the second consecutive time. Twer said, “We had hoped for better, but that’s how it was in the rankings,” he said.

Matt Segar, varsity swimmer and senior, had the best finish out of the team placing fourth in the 500 freestyle. Segar set his personal best time of 4:36.69 in that race.

Overall Twer said that it was a very fast State meet due to numerous records being broken by participants. “We swam really fast, but not fast enough to show how good we were,” he said.
