New policies for CHTV’s in-studio announcements

CHTV has created new policies for their in-studio announcements. These policies include two people per announcement group, no “shout-outs” to other students, making the announcement short and to the point and not including students in a group they’re not a part of.

“So, if you’re done with your announcement and you see your buddy making an announcement, you can’t just go up and join them. Only make the announcement you’re registered for,” CHTV teacher Hal Espey said.

Espey said he is hoping for these new rules to possibly shorten the announcements.

Mark Hodges, CHTV crew member and senior,  said he thinks these procedures will work out well.

“I think it’s a good policy. In the past the announcements have been pretty long with a lot of people. Hopefully this will help make the announcements more efficient,” he said.

“These policies aren’t to make the announcements strict and stiff. We don’t mind a little goofiness; you can be funny and have fun. But, just use common sense with what’s rude and what’s not,” Espey said. By Kendall Harshberger <[email protected]>
