House is sponsoring a garage sale on Nov. 21 and 22 to raise money for Dance Marathon. This event will be held in main cafeteria from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All items will have been donated from student government representatives. Co-sponsor Sarah Wolff said she plans to advertise the garage sale through Carmel Star, Indy Star, the school website, e-mail distribution and the PTO newsletter. According to Wolff, all members of the community are invited to participate.

Additionally, there is a Steak ‘N Shake Night on Dec. 2 from 5 to 10 p.m. All profits will go towards Dance Marathon. “In the winter, Dance Marathon is where we focus our fundraising,” Wolff said. During that week, coupons for the event will be given out to students at school. The coupons must be presented at Steak ‘N Shake in order to donate 20 percent of a meal’s cost to Riley Hospital.

Wolff said that there are no other planned events until Dance Marathon on Feb. 20, but that “we’ve got some great ideas.” By Katie Walstrom <[email protected]>
