I like photography, so pairing fashion and photography together is cool. And sometimes, if I see a really out-there piece at Goodwill or something, I’ll pair that with a regular pair of jeans if it’s for a shoot. But I’ll never do that for regular purposes. I shoot people, so I do portraiture, and so if they have a crazy piece in their wardrobe, or they don’t typically pair stuff together, it can make for a really big statement piece for the subject in the portrait. Especially if you have a really basic background, like one of the white walls around the school, and then you have a really bold color with just a pair of blue jeans, it can bring the subject forward.
