This year, the first activity for the year in the CHS Angels Club will involve a drive benefiting those in need in Haiti.
Through St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carmel, club members’ donations and care packages will be sent with certain church members who are planning to visit Haiti for mission work.
Lindsey House, CHS Angels Club co-president and sophomore, said that throughout September, members of the CHS Angels club will be asked to donate school and sewing supplies, along with medical and personal hygiene products.
St. Elizabeth Seton church members will then deliver the goods to those in need in Haiti at the end of September during their mission trip.
Additionally, the club hopes to ask Wal-Mart and Target for donations of their various products for this project.
House said students should listen to the announcements for possible ways to donate to Haiti, which would involve bringing goods to stationed drop-off boxes within the school during September. House said, “We’re trying to help people out.”
Lastly, House said that the CHS Angels Club is planning a bake sale, near Halloween in October.
