Savannah Hill, cross-country runner and senior, said she was excited for the season.
“We have prepared for this season all summer even with COVID and so I expect that we will have a really strong season,” Hill said. “I am looking forward to the coming meets.”
Assistant Coach Aaron McRill said that the expectations for the season are high despite the changes to the team from COVID.
“We have a really great group this year and we are currently ranked number one (in the state) so (a) podium (finish at State) would be nice. As for the entire season, we would like to see some PRs (personal records) and to see everyone work hard with these different conditions” McRill said.
The team is preparing for their first home meet on Sept. 5.
